AbstractThere are some problems can bring out from inefficiency freight distribution such as traffic and environmental problems. Truck teiminal is one solution to alleviate these problems. This paper focuses on ttuck industry study. The purposes of this study are study demography data on truck transportation company in Thailand, collect opinion data on their behaviors and truck terminal. Questionnaire survey was conducted on 120 companies that located at Putamonthon road No. 2 and 3 Nakhonpathom. Structural equation modeling and multiple linear regression were applied for the analysis. It was found that inconvenience for parking, loading and unloading is the major problems. These companies do not interest in truck terminal. For using truck terminal company, safety for storing goods and truck te1minal fare caused the dissatisfaction. Convenience and satisfaction model indicates the results in the same way as questionnaire survey. Multiple regression output shows that amount of trucks is important parameters effected on amount of transferred goods. Recommendations proposed for service improving are providing parking area, traffic management, and freight receiving time management. Truck terminal policy should be clarified and safety for storing goods should be improved. Number of clients is the most important factor to attractive company to use truck terminal.
