Abstract | This research aims to study the effective Procurement Policy and Procedure for Construction Company in Thailand. The research methodology of this study used Qualitative method by case study. In order to achieve the research objectives, six construction company were selected from Thailand. All the information in this study was given by the interviewees through interview. To find out the practices and problems of purchasing function in each company, cross-case analysis was implemented. The result of this study was divided into 4 parts. The first part is the company purchasing policy and procedure which explain what each company has and the purchasing process of each company works from the material requisition to the supplier evaluation. The second part is the factor affecting the purchasing performance in each phase of the purchasing process and find out which company implemented and not implemented the factors. The third part is the summary of the common practice of purchasing function, in this part explain what are the common activities that the purchasing function perform. The fourth part is the typical problems of the purchasing function and what is the company action to solve the problems. |
