| Abstract | In India the rate of construction apartment percentage had been increasing very fast and their maintenance was inversely proportional to it. Due to the lack of maintenance the durability and sustainability of the apartment had been decreasing. It affects the cost of the general maintenance also and the maintenance performance had been assessing that the maintenance is directly proportional to the apartment cost. As the maintenance issues as a major problem, this study mainly focuses on the factors affecting the maintenance cost of the apartments in India and the maintenance performance of the apartment. And this study was limited to the residential apartments. It is important to discuss about the maintenance as many of them people in India, how much this affects the apartment further. So, this study mainly focusses on the factors cost and knows which affects more and what are the precautions or measures to be taken for good maintenance performance of apartments in India which can be easily implemented, so that we can see a good construction sector and can improve our nations economy by good infrastructures. Furthermore, this would assist the building managers in preparing realistic maintenance budgets in respect of each operational and maintenance activities in the appropriate time. |
