AbstractConstruction industry is one of the crucial sectors in every country which is a primary sector in successful economy and high growth rate. Besides these advantages, construction industry is going through many consequences due to its unique, dynamic and temporary nature. One of the major problems that every country is ultimately facing is accidents/hazards at construction site due to lack of safety. A literature review was first made to identify and categorize the factors influencing worker engagement in a safety program. A quantitative based instrument in the form of survey questionnaire is used as research instrument for this study. The data was collected from 300 respondents from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh province in India. The questions were based on factors which affect worker engagement. The quantification of the data collected is carried out by using the statistical tool – SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science). Data analysis is done, first Exploratory Factor Analysis is done and further regression analysis is carried out to know the relationship between the factors affecting worker engagement and worker engagement. Overall, the study makes an attempt to find out the factors which affect worker engagement in a safety program and to know the relationship and ways to increase worker engagement in a safety program in India.
