| Abstract | Technology transfer is a complex process. It not only involves transfer of hardware but also human resource, info1mation and management expertise. Thus, technology transfer has several stages to be followed. An effective technology transfer takes place only that time when the formal transfer process is followed by a firm. In this research study the technology transfer process of a textile company (Beximco Denim Limited) in Bangladesh is analyzed in details. For the purpose of the study a questionnaire is developed and distributed to the responsible person of the company and a personal interview was also conducted along with questionnaire. In the study, it is analyzed that how the company followed different stages of the formal technology transfer processes namely, organizational commitment development stage, need identification stage, supplier identification stage, offer evaluation stage, negotiation stage and implementation stage. It is also analyzed from the study that what kind of problems the company faced in all those stages. Moreover, from the analysis it is also judged that the technology transfer process of the company is a successful case or not. |
