AbstractThe growth of Electronic Commerce is creating a global, and cost effective platform for businesses to communicate and conduct commerce. E-Commerce allows businesses to create new, efficient business processes, get closer to customers and suppliers and break into new, global markets. The company can take full advantage of the opportunities ecommerce offers. Because of today's shrinking world, organizations must create new sources of competitive advantage almost on a daily basis. This is critical for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) because they are considered to be major components of all economies and are generally considered flexible, adaptive and innovative organizations. Therefore, the purpose of this research study is to explore the current situation of SMEs and E-commerce policy framework in Thailand. Investigation of opportunities for SMEs in Thailand will be presented, as well.
