AbstractManaging and measuring performance of the business is very difficult task because it is intangible and super complex. There is no proper and effective system to manage and measure the business perf01mance at Singapore Bank Corporation Ltd. The study is undertaken to introduce and identify relevant and appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPis) and to measure the performance of Singapore Bank Corporation Ltd. The balance scorecard would be a powerful and most appropriate instrument to identify KPis since it combines four vital perspectives: financial, customer, internal business process, learning and growth perspectives. To ascertain the applicability of KPis, the validation is initiated and conducted by twenty-one respondents from the major and relevant units of the bank. The completed sets of KPis weight are developed systematically. The in-depth interviews are also done. Finally the performance measurement system is proposed by the way of quantifying the performance of the bank by balancing among the four critical perspectives.
