AbstractI wish to express my deeply gratitude to DR. Prof. Neelakantan Ramachandran, my advisor and chairperson of research committee, for his valuable guidance, comments and encouragement throughout the course of this research study. I am also highly indebted to Prof. John C.S Tang and Dr. Sununta Siengthai , who have served as committee members, have always provide me with constructive suggestions. My appreciation also goes to Prof. Michel Henery Bouchet, scientific director (International Finance) of CERAM Sophia Antipolis, France, who supports me valuable guidance.
