Abstract | Of all Thailand's agricultural products, rice stands out. The role of Thai rice does not confine to the national territories alone. It is the talk of the world. With a view to increase or at least maintain market share, this research repo1t focuses on foreign competitions, challenges, and future trend of rice expo1t business in Thailand. It also provides an insight of the rice export business in Thailand as well. Over the years, Thai rice market has become more and more competitive as the world rice market becomes more intense. In this way, competitors will have to be closely monitored - their production, consumption, stocks, trade, and policies. Moreover, the problems, challenges, and opportunities for Thai rice export have been assessed. This has been achieved by way of conductive interviews so as to get different perspectives from pa1ties involved - State, private exp01ters, International trader, and Inspection company. Subsequently, a conclusion has been drawn and recommendations chalked out. To really give Thai rice export business a competitive edge over competitors, emphasis has been put right from production to sales. |
