Abstract | The thesis aims at using Axiomatic Design Theory in developing a QFD system with a user-friendly interface (i.e., an interface, which allows users to treat linguistic information) The system runs on Windows-based platform, therefore it is very easy and convenient for users to use in their PCs and integrate it with any common computer applications. The system has been developed in hierarchy as recommended in Axiomatic Design Theory. Also the modules (i.e., design parameters) have been constructed in such a way that they follow the First Axiom of Axiomatic Design Theory (i.e., maintaining the independence of Functional Requirements and Design Parameters). The system is constructed in one of the latest technique of Object Oriented Programming. It has been found to have four levels of hierarchy. Any modification in the system will be performed very easily whenever needed. |
