Abstract | This study shows that Petri nets is a powerful tool to investigate the performance evaluation in FMS. The model allows modeling the FMS configuration, determining the optimal work in process, the number of Kanban cards and the required capacity for a given production rate. The approach taken here is based on modeling the FMS as an event graph with part circuits, Kanban circuits and sequencing circuit. By changing the sequencing by blending using First Blender Algorithm the effect of machine sequencing machine will be considered. |
