AbstractThe cost for equipment of a production plant increases more and more, therefore it is necessary to avoid or shorten downtimes as much as possible. The main subject of this thesis is to give the reader an idea what opportunities are possible with a remote control to an automation plant system. The software for the remote access used in this study is the software TeleService. With this software a remote communication to a automation system can be established. After enabling a remote access to an automation system this study verifies how a remote control and a remote diagnostic can be realized and applied on an example production plant.
