AbstractThe purpose of this thesis is to develop an underwater mobile robot with 5-propeller. The robot is designed to have 5 degree of freedom motion in the x-direction, motion in the z-direction, rotation on x-axis, rotation on y-axis, and rotation on z-axis. The direct current motors are used for actuation. The open loop control structure is used in this thesis. The robot model uses the dynamics equations, which describe the movement of a rigid body, and the main hydrodynamic equation affecting this movement through a fluid environment.
