AbstractOver the recent years, wireless communication issue has been interesting due to the demand of being capable to communicate at every moment and every place. Ad hoc network is one type of wireless communication that can meet the requirement. Since it has these qualifications which are infrastructureless, no need of centralize management and nodes are movable without any limitation. Since selecting a reliable path to rely packets on from source to destination is an important task, this thesis has proposed a new routing algorithm called "Least Neighbors Routing Algorithm". The probability of obtained the required QoS (P(QoS)) has determined in order to evaluate the routing performance. Furthermore, delay and probability of having successful path (P(Success)) are also calculated. By comparison with the Shortest Path Routing Algorithm, the proposed algorithm has introduced better performance in both higher in P(success) by 94 % and lower in delay by 44 % at node density more than 50 nodes and using Gaussian Distribution. Furthermore, for the case that using Uniform, it performs better by 40% in delay and 19% in P(success).
