AbstractIndustrial Estates (IEs) have been introduced in most developing countries in respond to the needs for these countries to accelerate industrialization and to raise the living standards of the population. In relation to the nature of IEs, they provide huge land areas for industrial factories with complete infrastructural facilities such as road, electricity, water supply, and so forth. This causes IE developers characterized by bulk quantity of information. Since competitive environment today is drastically increased, IEs have been facing with the higher requirements from their customers especially information responsiveness. Therefore, this thesis is determined to propose using Virtual Reality (VR) to visualize information so as to enable a user to interact with the virtually real industrial estate components and to retrieve the needed information simultaneously. In achieving the stated objectives, SIL Industrial Zone, located at Saraburi province, was selected as a case study. The SIL virtual world developed in this study contains two main parts; a virtual SIL's project and SIL's information. The virtual SIL's project is a representation of the virtually real industrial estate components, including land area and existing infrastructural facilities. This allows the user to walk through the virtual world that they perceive as comparable to the real things and also provides a clearer visual picture of what SIL's project looks like. This is practical and useful for those who are not comfortable to visit the real site (Saraburi province). Moreover, during the walk through, the user is also able to retrieve the significant information such as standard and regulation, land area, existing facilities and existing customers, which is compulsory for operation within the SIL's area.
