AbstractThe commercial world nowadays requires construction firms to manage the project effectively and productively for remaining and enhancing market share, profitability, and long-term business relationship. Project teams have directly been assigned to administer the project in an ambiguity for achieving the project objectives and organization goals. In general, performing project management, customer satisfactions, and decisions all are extremely difficult to integrate each other, consequently, Business Intelligence (BI) to be the process of gathering high quality and meaningful information, is able to help project teams to handle these problems. Therefore, this study's objective is to generate BI model that can apply in construction project teams and then explore in current practices to know how accuracy they are. This paper presents managers' or engineers' perspectives from medium to large scale projects. The checklists were derived from BI model and frameworks were used as a survey instrument to interview managers and engineers. The survey had indicated that project teams normally made decision by their own experience, thus the corrective actions are occasionally required. To overcome these problems, the recommend is to create the problem database to support their decisions. The advantage of data analysis process, to fulfill the study objective, is able to analyze the problems and the different attitude of each respondent. Eventually, the recommendations for BI application in project teams were proposed to enhance the ability of project teams.
