AbstractComputerized information system has been introduced into the construction project development process in order to encourage the convenience of users for automating and handling with amount of information. To develop a construction project, it composes of many processes and many executers to participate in each process. Each member is responsible for certain aspects of the construction project development processes and uses his/her own unique processes to undertake his/her tasks. They have to rely on information supplied by the others. However, many organizations cannot achieve advantages which are offered by the computerized information system because the format of received information is improper for automating information. The method of storing information is not determined which effects on the difficulty to find and retrieve the stored information. Therefore, this study's objective is to develop the assessment framework of computerized information system and apply it in the existing system to find and analyze the deficiency of computerized information system within organizations. This paper presents the assessments in two public organizations by using the checklist as an assessment tool. The results of findings found that the computers are employed to the organizations, but amount of them are insufficient and information is not stored in computer technology properly. Besides, the electronic file is not shared among divisions, thus the receivers have to input it in their computer in order to automate with their information. To overcome these problems, the recommendations were proposed for increasing more effectiveness of computerized information system.
