AbstractAccording to Thailand was the largest producer of shrimp production in the world and expo1ted to many countries. The large amount of shrimp production was produced every year. Due to there are a lot of shrimp farming in Thailand and almost caused the environmental impact. This study was assesses the environmental impact emission in the whole life cycle of shrimp production since raw material extraction untill disposal period. By using Sima Pro model for calculating the impact emission in each process. Afterward identified and quantified the significant impact including sources of these impact. Next to suggest the optimize options for reduce these impact and show the environmental impact reduction potential of these options compare with the traditional cultural shrimp production. From this study, the result show that to produce one ton of shrimp production, the environmental impact emission were 40,900 MJ LHV of energy consumption, 4,130 kg C02-equivalence of greenhouse effect, 83.5 kg P04- equivalence of nutrient enrichment, 76 kg S02-equivalence of acidification and 4 kg C2H4- equivalence of photochemical smog. The majority sources of impact were growing process and preparation process.
