AbstractThe Cambodian educational system is still traditional modem and remaining largely track from the past. There is little changed and almost nothing changed on educational system since following decades. Schoolgirls are frequently neglected and/or considered as less important as schoolboys. Although, parent send their daughters and sons to school when they are in the lower class and actually in the high class, the schoolboys are considered as given priority for sons. On the other words, parents usually encourage sons to further high education rather than daughters. In Cambodia, especially for higher education, most students are men with nearly 98 percent in which compared to female students. In rural areas throughout the country of Cambodia, most parents usually keep their daughters to assist their work at home or even in the agricultural farms, and other jobs in order to earn incomes. There are several traditional factors that prevent daughters from doing things as same as sons. These come from traditional culture, and their environment in which related to women and daughters. Additionally, poverty is a big challenge to daughters and women. In real world, especially for under developing and developing countries the education is not considered as the most fundamentally important factor by poor people in order to combat with the poverty. Such poverty passes through one generation to next generation in poor societies. In term of poverty and different levels of education/knowledge for both men and women, so that how gender issues are being considered as equity and justices in society? The current field research is aiming at identification, setting definition in particular comer of Cambodian society for gender issues. Furthermore, a series of recommendations also is raised in order to match of both male and female, in particularly abandoned schoolgirls in Bavel district, Battambang province. The dropped out of schoolgirls are always completely ignored or disregarded if compared to schoolgirls whom in class. What affected to the dropped out of schoolgirls is being recommended in which including morality, culture, equity and other gender environment. Such recommendations provide with a useful tool to improve the educational quality before the gender under considered topics. The poverty is also direct threat-point that reasons to the dropped out of schoolgirls, during the interviews. Bavel district is a remote area and remaining traditional modem of educational systems with facing poverty challenges. Through field research, both quantitative and qualitative methods, questionnaire for interviewing random households whom the dropped schoolgirls live in, and fundamental details were analyzed and recommended. The gender issues are not likely 'one size fit all' in term ofreality in different societies in the world. Therefore, it was expected that results from research will identify the reality and can be matched in overall recommendations for Cambodian society.
