Abstract | In the recent years, the dramatic increase in the speed of wide-area networks have opened the door to the execution of distributed applications between remote sites. Therefore, Quality of Service (QoS) becomes a key factor in the deployment of the next generation networks. QoS routing has focus on routing a path satisfying specified QoS constraints. However, restorable QoS routing, where upon failure of a node or link on the path, a new path satisfying the QoS constraints has to be established, has only recently been studied. In this research, restorable dynamic QoS routing on the network is studied, and compared through the simulation. In this, we use two algorithms name Widest Shortest Path First (WSPF) and Minimum Shortest Path First (MSPF) in order to evaluate and compare the performance of restorable dynamic QoS routing in terms of number of reject requests and efficient bandwidth. Based on simulation results, depend on total requested bandwidth to total bandwidth of backup paths, we found that by using MSPF algorithm can improve the number of rejects and efficient bandwidth. The simulation results show that an improving around 28.89% to 24.68% in number of rejects, and Bandwidth Efficiency Usage of MSPF algorithm is increased from 71.43% to 81 % in comparison with using WSPF algorithm. |
