Abstract | Aggregate production planning (APP) is usually faced with a fuzzy environment and multiobjective situation. With this scope, the problem is easily solved by a fuzzy linear programming (FLP). As an additional issue, price-sensitive demand is included, and the model is changed from FLP to a fuzzy nonlinear programming (FNP) problem. This change makes the problem difficult to solve. Therefore, this thesis addresses the multiobjective aggregate production planning in a fuzzy environment with price sensitive demand. ' To solve this problem, a solution method is proposed. This method combines the search algorithm and FLP adapted from the work of Wang and Fang (2001) for solving the multiobjective aggregate production planning in a fuzzy environment with price-sensitive demand. With the combined search algorithm, the complicated problem incurred by the additional price-sensitive demand issue can be solved. For testing the proposed method, the experiment was run to solve an example problem in several settings. Comparing with directly solving NP, which does not guarantee global optimality, the results from our method are better in every setting. Additionally, the sensitivity analysis of the search algorithm parameters was analyzed, and the appropriated values are suggested. |
