Abstract | In process of production, it is necessary to monitor process parameters as well as control all of equipments in production line. Applying process control system in industrial process provides to users many advantages such us labor reduction, improving quality of process, reducing maintenance time, low cost investment. .. Using latest automation technologies in implementing control system will bring a lot of benefit not only for users but also for developers. This study purposes to develop the Distributed Control System (DCS) control system for controlling liquefaction process in an enzyme production line and focuses on creating simulation process to simulate operation of liquefaction process. This simulation works properly and simulates whole operations of liquefaction stage. The control program was created to control liquefaction process not only in automatically mode but also in manually mode. In this simulation, control program run with a set of basic data, but operator can adjust basic data to suit with real process. HMI interface of simulation permits operator can monitor and control operations of whole process. The simulation will be performed as the real system and take controls over the I/O distributor module to the output peripherals in the mimic. This allows the process engineer test the operation from runtime of simulated model before loading the program to the real system. With an intermediate feedback from the simulation, reduce the risk operation can happen in real system. It can be applied for further developments under given possibility of adjustments to the real similar application. Today the DCS is expected to be the real-time component of a manufacturing facility's enterprise management and control system, affecting virtually every aspect of the operation and profitability of both continuous and batch processes. |
