Abstract | Textile Industry which has been one of the major contributor to most of developing countries economy like India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, is expected to take dramatic ch;mge in coming years in view of the enforcement of WTO and further the eradication of Tax barriers, Quota systems. MF A, Mult fibre agreement is one of the major hurdle as quota system is restrcting major suppliers to do business freely in the world market. The study is intended to cover the effects of Open market policies of most countries like China, India on the Sector. Manufacturing sector as if is moving to developing and third world countries due to the cost advantage and cheap manufacturing cost. How this scenario change is going to effect the Textile Industry? and how its is going to positioned in future?. In the emerging face of fast moving information, technological transfer is bound to take place at a higher speed. As the International borders blur Supply Chain Management and Information Technology take a crucial role in Apparel manufacturing. Global partners in the clothing supply chain are exchanging information electronically, thus the need for Textile Industry to spruce up. this study will focous on various Technological advancements and subsequent susbstitutions taking place in some of the prducts like Polyester, Acrylic Fibre, cotton etc. Finally the focuss will be on Acrylic fibre industry value chain, how the sector is moving due to ongoing volatility of petroleum prices. Technical advancements that are taking place in the sector and their impact on over all industry. Study will be done based on Porter's five forces analysis on the sector. |
