AbstractThe onset of the economic crisis in Asia brought to the forefront many structural weaknesses in the Thai financial system. The Jack of transparency and reliable information for investors, which reflects to a weak corporate governance practices in Thai financial institutions and business, have been identified as a fundamental area, which needs to be addressed to allow sustained economic recovery and the return of confidence to the Thai capital market. This study is aiming to understand Company Financial Disclosure Management Practices. The study is mainly based on comparative analysis, focusing on comparison of four leading Thai banks' Disclosure in Annual Report of 200 I and comparison of SCB' s Financial Disclosure across time for five years. Firms differ in their degree of transparency. It would be useful to examine the nature of this difference and find explanations for the difference.
