Abstract | The global market is opening up, global competition is on the rise, and modern technology and communications could allow SMEs to play an increasing role in the global market. The research study discusses the opportunities for SMEs shrimp exporter in Thailand for greater pa1ticipation in world trade, and the constraints that these exporters face in making use of the new opportunities. To develop specific strategies for new business oppmiunity, Thai shrimp expmier to Taipei market is analysed as a potential market together with the global trend and necessary government support policies. From the study, it shows that SME processed shrimp exporters in Thailand would have excellent opportunities in the global market if the current constraints were alleviated or removed. Of the main constraints to SME, domestic policy environments have been identified as the dominant impediment. |
