AbstractDoing business via Internet has become a very popular method, many authors did studies on electronic commerce and electronic business. However, very few works actually focused on technique in manufacturing sector as production planning, scheduling, flow-work, etc. This thesis studied an impact of electronic commerce on activities of businesses including supply system, manufacturing system, logistic and distribution system, relationship with customer and customer service. This thesis focused on a small aspect of manufacturing system, particularly, on production planning for a Vietnamese garment company. A hybrid simulation-analytic model and linear programming for stochastic demand are applied to solve problem. Lingo package and Sigma software are used to find an optimal solution.
