Abstract | In mobile computing MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) are used in recent trends to get fast in communication. Wireless links plays an important role in this scenario. Routing protocol is used in wireless links to be motivated for multi hoping, mobility, large network size. There are many routing protocols for MANET to get fast and seamless communication. The necessary of routing protocol is to establish a network in such a way communication happens and it doesn’t mean just passing information from one end to another end, but also communication should be in a reliable manner and timely manner. In research work we will focus On-Demand routing protocol that is (AODV) protocol. It is a reactive routing protocol i.e. active routes are known. AODV establishes a path whenever it is needed. In our proposed work we create FBNS (Factor Based Neighbor Selection) of the node which improves MANET performance when compared with AODV protocol. Our proposed work can be simulated with the help of Network Simulation 2 (NS-2) under Ubuntu 14.04. According to the simulation results we evaluate the results with the existing (AODV) and the proposed (FBNS). FBNS deals with path load, reliability and normalized routing load when the link is available. In simulation results our proposed method FBNS gives high throughput which increases the packet delivery ratio, low end-to-end delay and low routing overhead. |
