Abstract | Disaster as flood has increasingly become a great concern for their impact on rural and urban areas. Farming communities in particular experience severe damage to life, property, and their standard of living. Social, Economic impact include environmental destruction were very much observed as a consequence of flood disasters. This research provides an account of flood hazard. It sought to explain frequency and intensity related with loss of life, assets include period and duration of occurrence. Analysis of the impact of disaster which consist of social, economic and environmental impact namely, affect to their routine is life such as the convenience in travelling and communication, loss of the economy aspects which is assets, agricultural crops and their the major income. In addition of affect on environment involved with the damage of physical. Features of the land, the public utility, public places and transportation. It was found out from this study that the problems associated with flood incident as mitigation and assess the needs of flood victim during and after the event. This studies the key role the government and other organizations provide support services in mitigating flood victims and implementing flood control. Furthermore, a plan to address the preparedness to cope, mitigate, and flood control measures in advance. Finally, certain recommendations were given for improving the efficiency of flood control measures and mitigation so as to enhance activities in flood area. These focused on enhancing the project and activities to solve flood problems. In addition, planning increasing efficiency of flood policy strategy for controlling flood measures in the future. |
