| Abstract | One of the main ways of improving the reliability of power supplies is to reduce the outage duration once the interruption has occurred. In order to ensure rapid restoration of supply, consideration is being given to increasing the level of system automation or SCADA system. The objective of the study is to examine the SCADA/DMS system of Power Company No.2 which is installed for monitoring and control of the power distribution network in Da Lat City, Lam Dong province. The issues related to benefit of SCADA, reliability, and DMS functions of the system are analyzed and discussed. Results of the study provide a general evaluation on the SCADA system of PC2. So PC2 can set up a strategy for the development of SCAD A system in Da Lat City as well as in other Cities. |
