AbstractThe Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is storage information equipment in computer which can read and writes information on it. Principle technologies of HDD use magnetic technology for read and write on it which combines much equipment in side. Actuator Arm is one components of HDD. It’s used for assembly with reader and writer equipment of HDD which Z-height of APFA is majority parameter of read and writes performance of HDD. In factory use Auto Adjust Machine (AAM) for adjust the Actuator Arm. The principle operation of the AAM is repeatedly bends the APFA reject until APFA with in spec per drawing. This process is time consumer because it repeatedly bends the ACA. The objectives of the study were to model Actuator Arm tip adjustment and optimization. Firstly used the Finite Element program for create APFA 3D model. Secondly simulate program for calculate stresses and displacement of Actuator Arm tip adjustment under external loads was condition of AAM. Thirdly optimize the best positions for model Actuator Arm tip adjustment. Finally from Finite element result designs of experiment (DOE) have been used to analyze main effect of these parameters.
