AbstractThe ultimate objective of this research is to assess the competitiveness of the European main equipment suppliers in Thailand. The first chapters will be about the Thai electricity in a macro-economical prospective focussed on end-users. The reader would understand the diversity of existing power plants as their specificities. The second chapters will narrow down the main energy equipment' market specifications, considering the micro situation, describing the stakeholders, their interaction with a much more important focus on equipment suppliers. Results of a survey towards those actors will be a pa1t of it. The next chapter will describe trade fluctuations and estimates of market shares concerning installed main energy equipment. The third and last pa1t will help to understand the h·ade business specificities as to deduct and confirm some current strategies previously explained. It will be, through business estimates market shares as well, a way to track down who are the main competitors in Thailand, and the European positioning. From this last chapter, limitations of this report will be explained as some further directions in order to complete more valuable recommendations. Therefore, the recommendations at the end of this disse1tation should be considered as rational and logical ideas.
