Abstract | In this study, the possibility of using high yield bamboo pulp as raw material to produce linerboard was investigated. Linerboard made from high yield bamboo pulp has been investigated and compared with linerboard produced from America old corrugated container (AOCC) and Japan old corrugated container (JOCC). Linerboard property comparison showed that the most imp011ant properties of linerboard made from high yield bamboo pulp are better than that of linerboard made from AOCC and JOCC. It means that, the high yield bamboo pulp has good potential to produce linerboard. The prop011ion of eucalyptus pulp in furnish with high yield bamboo pulp produce linerboard was also investigated. Its properties were compared with bamboo linerboard, AOCC linerboard and JOCC linerboard. The result showed that it would be possible to use up to 30% eucalyptus pulp in linerboard to improve linerboard properties. |
