AbstractAt the very beginning, the Thailand Pavement Management System(TPMS) was establish to accomplish the goal of keeping the pavement condition into good condition for comfort, economization and safety of road users. The data representation is a significant enhancement to all aspects of TPMS process. A variety of spatially integrated data are important to TPMS decision making. Therefore, the Geographic Information System is presented as tools to utilize the expandable TPMS component. The GIS has capabilities to graphically display the various TPMS results and data that can assist to the decision making process. This study focuses on utilizing the computer-based system and GIS to develop the system for demonstrating the decision-making process of TPMS, emphasizing on the pavement maintenance. This study selected the eastern region of Thailand as study area. The function of developed system comprises of three main modules. The first module is the data input which involves the data collection, collected through the developed data base system. The second module is the data analysis that analyzes the data in the developed database to determine the result in term of pavement maintenance data. The final module is the data representation display the information that includes graphical form and attributed form by using the computer-based system and GIS to provide the graphical display to support users in the decision-making based on TPMS. In addition, the system validation process is prepared to ensure that the developed system can achieve the objective of this study
