AbstractStart-up companies being new, inexperienced and having limited resources, face varying degrees of pressure from various sources such as investors, customers, partite end competitors. The IT/software start-ups besides facing the normal pressures like other start-ups also have to face additional challenge from technology. The high-tech start-up companies, particularly the small softwconnipanies, are sensitive to the challenge of having to evolve rapidly, inool1se to rapid advances in the software and hardware. These prevailing issues, motivated this research to conduct & identify factors perceived as critical for success. The average revenue growth will be used to identify the success of the companies. The results of this research study will allow for development of guidelines for management practices and will contributed to the improvement and survival of existing start-up firms as well as helping new start-ups. Moreover it will be useful for NECTEC, Software Park Thailand and SIPA to develop and formulate their plans of stimulate growth of software industry.
