Abstract | The Life Insurance Sector of Thailand is highly fragmented. At present there are twenty-four domestic life insurance companies and one foreign branch engaged in the Life Insurance Business in Thailand. This research study was conducted to gather a deeper understanding into the financial performance of the twenty-five Life Insurance Companies of Thailand. Based on the analysis of the balance sheets and the profit and loss statement, of these companies, they have been ranked in descending order of their financial strength. It was found that A.I.A. and Thai Life Insurance displayed the strongest financial characteristics. Incidentally, A.I.A. and Thai Life Insurance Companies, also currently possessed the largest market share in the Thai Life Insurance Market. |
