Abstract | In the past, teaching students to learn a programming language was always take much time and effort. Teachers traditionally had to teach the theories and then let the student to practice by doing exercises. The exercises were then collected by the teachers for evaluate. This leaching approach tries to make the theories and practices to connect in a seemingly indiscrete way but still left a big gap between the two. The other disadvantage is the time taken by the teacher to evaluate the learners manually. With the emergence of E-learning approach, these difficulties could be handled. By using E-learning, theories and practices are mixed together in contexts with best supports. Furthermore, assessments can be done automatically. This thesis applies the most advance technology in E-learning, Learning Object, to deliver a Web-based environment for teaching and learning Java Server Page through applets, intuitive animations |
