Abstract | Recently, E-learning becomes more and more important for pedagogical community. It is easy to track that the history of E-learning is no sooner than the day when Internet was born. Simply speaking, the idea of E-learning brings us chances for everyone from everywhere to have access to educational material at anytime. However, the biggest problem that both IT and pedagogical community have to face is the standardization for E-learning. Each country, each organization defines electronic education materials in its specific standardization with no or little interoperation among them. Thanks to the emergence of Learning Object Technology, we are now having a common way of creating, using and sharing electronic education materials by using SCORM standard. This thesis strictly follows the SCORM standard in creating a web-based course for teaching and learning UML elements. This course can be used in a stand-alone Web Browser or can be imported in to any well-known Learning Management System |
