AbstractOutsourcing has become an important strategic tool in today's competitive business environment. The aim of this research is to see the outsourcing practice of airline business in Thailand. The research focuses on maintenance department of Thai Airway futemational Public Company Limited. Outsourcing maintenance service has been one of the major trend in airline business in term of contracting out to third party service provider as to reduce the cost of running the business. the research study emphasizes on the outsourcing process of maintenance service, starting with identifying the need of outsourcing then follow by the process of selecting the service provider, negotiating the contract and controlling the outcome of the process.
