AbstractWith advances in new technologies, voting via Internet is developed to increase convenience of absentee voters, who are busy or working elsewhere, during the election. There are various attacks which are obstacles to voting via Internet. A secure technique needs to be integrated into the system. For a small community, security issues are as not stringent as in a big community because there are not many malicious persons who can break the security of the system. Thus, a suitable architecture for this community is built. This report offers a prototype Internet Voting System for election in a small community. The comparisons of voting systems are considered to get a proper model for a small community. Then, we modify that to get our model. There are three components that are built in our system; Client program, Server program and Web page. Finally, the test and evaluation is also displayed. There are six cases for testing and one situation that can be considered as the election. It can be seen that the system has the same accuracy as the voting on paper. The persons who have interest in this topic can further develop it to be a proper internet voting system for a small community.
