Abstract | The event of new enlargement of the European Union has captured great attention from all countries and businesses in the world. This research investigates the prospective impacts of the current enlargement of the EU on Vietnam in terms of trade and considers a feasible strategy for Vietnamese enterprises to access and compete in the enlarged EU market. So far, Vietnam has been considered as a weak economy and Vietnamese goods have been slowly raising their competitiveness in the EU market. The question here is whether Vietnam can benefit from the new movement in the EU market. The answer is "yes" but under the condition that Vietnam should quickly improve her competencies at all levels from macro to micro management. Especially for businesses, the conclusion can be that the strategic implementation approach would be the good means to obtain the goal as being competitive in the EU market in the long run. |
