Abstract | Rock of Ages Corporation of Barre Vermont is the industry leader in the North American Granite market. For years they have been the pinnacle of success, capitalizing on years of accomplishment in a slow moving industry. Recently however, as China and India have become more industrialized, Rock of Ages has been losing ground due to antiquated machinery, process, and strategy. Indeed, Imports from abroad threaten the Rock of Age sand the industry throughout. The following research study found that unless Rock of Ages embraces 21st century globalization and internationalization, they may soon find themselves in a decline that they cannot recover from. |
