Abstract | This research study discusses the importance and value of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for international ERP providers, likewise to the local companies in the Philippines that belong to medium-sized enterprises. ERP packages are huge and complex. One person alone can not understand a single ERP system or compare it to others. The output of the survey shows that there are market business opportunities for international ERP providers in the Philippines. ERP implementation experts emphasize the importance of proper education and training for both employees and managers. The ERP solutions help businessmen to operate their businesses better by enabling them to obtain access to info1mation covering the company's accounting, finance, production, services, distribution, retail and wholesale operations, warehouse operations, materials handling and manufacturing, human resources and more. The ERP international providers should understand the market condition and local practices, as they approach the business opportunities in the Philippines. There is a need of local business partner as complementary assets. In the next five years, more and more companies that use new technologies in all types of processing inside and outside of a company are expected to acquire ERP. |
