AbstractOne of the good solutions to scalability problem of Integrated Service architecture (Intserv) is the aggregation of Intserv traffic flows in core of network. Because it reduces amount of signaling data and the same time leads to resource reservation in the core. The scalability Intserv model should provide the same service class as Intserv. Although this model can't provide the guarantee for individual flow. However it can provide the guarantee for group flow. This study shows theory and guideline to compute the end-to-end delay bound in the general case and the strategy for providing the Guaranteed Service in this model. Our derived formula of resource allocation can be applied in either a hierarchical RSVP/intServ, Intserv over diffserv (Differentiated Services) or intServ over ATM network.
