AbstractAutonomous Vehicle Navigation usually requires accurate position to effectively function in either natural or man-made terrain. To achieve this autonomy, Global Positioning System (GPS) has been used in Vehicle Navigation System. In addition to a GPS receiver, the navigation system includes data from a digital map database to aid in navigation. The algorithm provides a novel approach towards manoeuvring and navigation of the vehicle and explores the possibility of implementing a fuzzy logic based steering control system.
