Abstract | Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems are not only used for operations, but for measurement, forecasting, billing, historical analysis, and planning. SIMA TIC PCS7-V.5 is one of the latest versions among process control systems of SIEMENS control technology. The central Engineering System (ES) of the SIMATIC PCS-7 process control system is based on Windows NT operating system and it supports engineering tools used in implementation of large projects. Fuel Gas Distribution System project was constructed to control fuel gas supply unit of two gas generators. SCADA application at PCS-7 process control system-research was based on it. WinCC software is core of SCADA application at SIMA TIC PCS-7 process control system. It gathers real-time process data via OPC server and store in high performance archiving system. Microsoft SQL server supports process database management and access control by using aid of ODBC. The configuration of OPC server, process data acquisition and archiving system were contents of this research. |
