AbstractThe Kwae Noi multipurpose dam project is located in Pisanuloke Province, North Central Thailand. This project is underlain by a sequence of sedimentary rocks Khorat basin and near to the suture zone of Shan-Thai and the Indochina plates. The predominant rock types are sandstone, siltstone and mudstone. The study area is compose of complex geological feature fold, fault, weathering and it effect to the design of the foundation excavation, treatment and tunnel excavation. The study included work on foundation excavation, treatment design and procedure, tunneling excavation and support installation. And all these were evaluated in this study.
