Abstract | The purpose of this thesis is to design the application specific IC (ASIC) for the digital hearing aid device. The low power DSP ASIC performances audio signal processing algorithm, specific to hearing aid instruments. The filter bank is used to separate the frequency to subband frequencies and is optimized for low power consumption. The DSP core performs the real time the adaptive noise reduction, also targeting low power consumption on each subband. |
