AbstractAquaculture products become important to Vietnam recent years since they contribute heavily to export income, generate employment and developing rural areas. Vietnamese pangasius is the main species of fishery products and it is growing very fast in the Europe market, the biggest market of this fish. This research study investigates the potential growth of Vietnamese pangasius in this market and the capabilities of Vietnamese producers in meeting the market demands. The cover area of this research includes six main markets in Europe. The research analyzes all factors related to target market including market consumption, requirements and non tariff barriers. And factors relate to the pangasius producers in Vietnam such as management skills, experience, capital, etc. Recommendations are given based on the consumer trend in this market, the environmental conditions and the capabilities of producers.
