AbstractThis research examines the relation between working capital requirement and the financial performance of Thai companies in the period 2002 - 2005 with evidence from the Construction Materials and Electrical Products industries. This research aim to test whether the cash-to-cash period can explain the difference in performance among companies within the industry. The 4-year change in cash-to-cash period impacts on the 4-year change in ROA and ROE. The average ROA and ROE tend to decline when companies lengthen their cash-to-cash period
