| Abstract | Yunnan tourism industry, one of the "five major pillar enterprises" of the province, has been developing continuously in a healthy way. And its position and function in the national economy of the province have been greatly strengthened with each passing day. The rapid development of tourism has contributed to the adjustment of industrial structure, the opening up to the outside world, the development of service industry,. the efforts to eliminate poverty and help people get rich, and to the ease of unemployment pressure in the province. The paper studies and analyzes all sorts of challenges, opportunities, and gives some suggestions to future development in the following sections. In the first section, the article introduces the general situation. In the second section, it states the overall status of the international tourism industry and domestic industry in Yunnan, and its characteristics in recent years. The opportunities and challenges encounter are introduced in the third part. The conclusion is embraced in the fourth section, and strategies for the development of quintessential branded tourism products and marketing are offered in the last part. It might be helpful to the future of the Yunnan's tourism industry. |
